So.. that's the first time i make something like this (release one of my songs^^). Until now just my friends have heard my compositions an i thought after their critics that i could release my songs to a bigger comunity. So here's my first release "Runaway"

overall , not bad ...
i'm not an expert on orchestral voicings , but i have a problem
with some aspects of this track ...
the opening voicings come off as a series of 'orchestral hits' ...
it manifests as too artificial ...
this improves , later , at the 1.45 mark , as you allow separate voicings to appear ... it seems much more realisitic ...
the mix is pretty good ...
it could be improved w/ some selective panning of the elements ...
the drums , in particular , are too centered ...
welcome to KvR ...

first thx for the comment. the thing is that i use edirol orchestral, so the strings sounds a bit artificial, i would change that if i had a better string library.
your critics about drums... i didnt even recognize that the drums are too loud or too centered, cause im a drummer, in my ears the drum have to be loud^^
your advice with the panning, is at least good idea, but i won't change that soon, cause i'm sick and tired of this song, cause i heard it nearly 200 times
greetz an thx
by the way take a look on the other tracks^^ thx

It's not that the strings sounds are artificial, it's the fact that you play them all at once from a keyboard. (Just guessing) That gives an unnatural articulation.
Nifty track otherwise.

I thought this was pretty good, not sure if the strings sound artificial but don't really care because I ENJOYED THE SONG. Anyway good work imo.
