Intelligent Machinery Productions presents:
The first of our new Gratis Series of releases, Bending The Binary. As the name implies, the Gratis Series releases are all available free-of-charge and will largely consist of themed compilations open to everyone.
Bending The Binary - A compilation of music whose creation utilizes databending techniques. Databending - or altering raw data to produce sound or influence the interpretation of existing sound files - is a vast territory of sound design that can be implemented in a multitude of ways, each providing its own unique result. Bending The Binary is a free compilation devoted to illustrating some of these results.
Bending The Binary features music from AWWA, Controlled Dissonance, DANADAX, Fluffy Porcupine, Hyperdriver, Jabberwocky, jfox, SC1 and The Silence Bureau.

Grabbed the remainder today.
The awwa tracks are stand out.
Works well in its entirety, the play/relationship between the tracks in tone and length is possibly a more satisfying experience than listening to each track in isolation.

Some really good stuff in here... kind of a shame it's all encoded at 128, but then again I suppose that sort of goes with the theme.

yeah. that and distribution is much cheaper at 128 vs. 256. you're not missing much from the overhead, unless you're a dog, or frequently engage in echolocation.
