oooh....this sounds nice. The compression is prominent but it works here, good mix!
Good job Thom/Watto
And thanks all who take the time to listen and compliment/critique.
Just so you know, it's all Thom's and Watto's fault for anything that sounds off in the song.
All the good stuff is from me.

Would be interested how you would have mixed it!!S.HUSH wrote:oooh....this sounds nice. The compression is prominent but it works here, good mix!
I'm glad the mix is ok for you though..
I tried to use not too much of compression, just on the vocals (not yours!) and added more ludness on the master-channel.

Pretty much the mix i gave you before the song was released here. However, your mix has more punch to it and Watto's parts flow better. My mix was too "reverberized" (is that even a word?).Would be interested how you would have mixed it!! Smile
....and Watto, like Thom and I told you via PM, don't feel so bad that you used looped samples for the Rhodes parts.

Yeah, I emigrated to this strange island in the sun some years ago from there.multree wrote:it's so funny when german words come up like that....Watto wrote:Had to look up "Alleskleber", but now that I have:mellotronaut wrote:p.s. Watto ist der kvr-Alleskleber
mello: is that like Kindergarten and Gesundheit or are you from germany???
nice song btw....
'Alleskleber'(= glue for every occasion) is one of my favourite german words, another one is 'Nervensäge' (= Someone who disturbs others steadily: nerves+saw ).
Thom, I called Watto 'Alleskleber', because he makes many songs and collabs in a short time.
Cheers/Mello

Thanks, mate!Watto wrote: Those bee-atches! You shouldn't listen, mate - you've got a really cool, grainy voice - kind of like a cleaner Tom Waits or something.

I love your backing vocals, really - and liked your mix!S.HUSH wrote:My mix was too "reverberized" (is that even a word?).
Just thought it was a shame to put much reverb on them, because you sang fine and so those did not needed this
