Don't have a top 5, you get a top 11 instead (in no particular order and without the collab-month, because i haven't voted yet and "a good bacon needs time"):

Knockman: Blindlove (didn't vote then, was before my contest-time)
sHush: KungPow Chicken
Selfconstruct: Ochre (wasn't in my top 10, but grows and grows)
Slartibartfast: Comfort Food
Oddbod's Fingers: Dungeness
Petru Damsa: Insects' World
Barnadine: The Clearing (couldn't vote for it, because the head-phones in St. Tropez were a mess and i could barely listen to it.)
Thommekk: Chinese Rastas of Canterbury
Splynter: House on the Hill
Zombie Queen: The Cheese Song
Scoops: Cuffed

hms to everybody, who entered and gave all this wonderful music to us!

most proud of "El Pueblo Blanco", though there were some small faults. A corrected version will come some day.... . I sang and wrote lyrics in spanish for the first time in my life and i hadn't much time to do it.

Good idea, this thread! :D

Do I have a Top Five? Hmm

Here's some of my contest-favorites in 2006:

Top Six (no real order):
Oddbots Finger - Marmite on toast/Live is shit
Selfconstruct - Ochre
Mellotronaut - Bananas
Former Pahraoh - What are we educated for?
Barnadine - Mohandas!
Krita Yuga - How to transcend time & space

----more:----
Papatomany - Burning crosses
Ccolinsmith - Bloodied ground
StrangeJuice - Martian Sadness

hms to all who joined the contests! It was great fun hearing most of them :)

Most proud of: "Night on mars" (grew really like some old horrormovie classical)
Symphony Nr.1
Meet the Cities Repair Team Unimportant laughter
music has become meaningless...we just keep doing it

i don't feel qualified to vote, since i missed quite a few of the offerings from 2006.

but i'm wondering:

is there interest in releasing a "best of" cd of songs from the history of the contest? i'd definitely buy one! or, perhaps more realistically, of offering a selection of songs in high-quality mp3 and uncompressed formats?

Rachmiel, you've got the "idea of the day" IMO. It won't be difficult to fill a CD with great contest songs !

Max... .. . :P
