How to turn a rather uneventful walk home from work on a cold winter's day into a 25 MB mp3 file and a dedicated thread in the music cafe.
The field recording is unedited. Apart from a two minute beginning where I had to stop and answer my phone(*), this is how long it takes me to walk home from work if I stop for a couple of items at the shop. Sorry about the occasional wind noise and I haven't decided whether the frozen snot wheezing nose noise effect adds drama or if it's just annoying.
(*)if you plan on making field recordings, turn off the bloody phone.

ps field recording + dog = space in the mix
always a guarentee that a dog will bark towards and away from you, little do they know how great that sounds later on, you gotta love dogs, dogs and the emergency sevices :woot!:

Thanks for listening.
Makes the chances of more diary entries much higher.
The dog is great. In headphones it actually disappears behind you.

I was hoping you would say it was an H4. Did you use it's built in mics?

Is this seriously unedited? I hear some things that could seriously pass as a synth. And that shimmering noise... ???
