1) ABA - American Bar Association - Defending Liberty, Pursuing Justice
2) ABAC - Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College
3) AABA - AABA - Asociacion de Abogados de Buenos Aires
4) ABACAB - eleventh studio album by British band Genesis, released in 1981.
Number 1 sounded the most fun till I found out it's about lawyers, not drinking. So I vote number 4 since I like Phil Collins.
And I declare the next month's theme to be at least 4-voiced fugues containing inverse and augmented themes.

Every time you use autotune, God kills a kitten.

That's what I was thinking and my guess is Scoops as well.Aziraphal wrote:4) ABACAB - eleventh studio album by British band Genesis, released in 1981.
My fave parts of the title track are the parts where they just keep pounding the same note on the synth on the 2 & 4, and Rutherford does his noodling over the top and the pads modulating around that 'pedal point' bass. Never saw them in concert, but my guess is that they would do extended solos over that section.
It was just kind of refreshing to hear uneffected pure synth. I seem to remember around that time that most synth stuff was taking on lots of reverb, but in ABACAB, it seems pretty dry.
Now maybe Scoops is thinking song structure ala Steve's post above. 5 sections might be a bit tricky in 2 minutes, but hey, that would be a challenge, yes?

Who is saying you can't use it DJ ADJ?xander wrote:I had a jammin Hiphop rhythm all done up too...
Could do a hip-hop Genesis tune, I would think. Or a rap over a French Rondo song structure.
