Thanks for the comments htcnext2 & seismic1 ... the brass is a Miles Davis sample through a feedback loop.

Man, this reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it. Sometime during the Linkln Park era (no, not them). Ending reminded me of the end of Chicago's "Beginnings"

I've been asked a few times what record I sampled the piano from. In fact, I played it myself on the electric piano in my X-Station. Its one of those tunes that just arrived yet sounded "familiar" somehow when I wrote it.
