Hey guys !

I start a new project which I would call "MIRABA - Set paintings to music" !
The following paintings I painted under my pseudonym "Miraba" in two different periods of mine: "linearstructure:period" and "piccamira:period".
My idea is musicians of all styles and genres compose music inspired by my art

It can be any contemporary, arty, avantgarde etc. music and I would love to hear any styles and perceptions ... musical liberty

To put the inspiration inside a video or into a poetry (all languages) could be an option also !

Also it's possible to compose mulltiple tracks for one painting, 'cause I will compile a portfolio of the paintings on high gloss and add a mini dvd with all music ... calling it "MIRABA - A multimedia portfolio"

Now please have a look at my paintings and I hope many artists will be inspired by and set them to some fine and arty music

I would be happy to transform a few of them into waves with my program AudioPaint. The result should definitely be ... ahem... avant-garde

I had a project like this in elementary except it was the other way around...you'd hear the music and know the title and you'd draw what you hear.

It would be very interesting to hear what unstructural music your program will create !

If it will avantgarde or futuregarde ... I will dig it !

This means a lot for me from an talented and real artist !

I would love to hear your music relating to my artwork !
If you find the time to do more than one tune .. I don't mind !

I was involved in a similar project as yours, but it was a live project and I was one of the musicians

This was an amazing experience ! And I still have the painting the artist did present me after the session in a beautiful created garden !

So how you like the paintings ?

Nice pictures.

My instinctive preference goes to the second period where I feel more power and direction and maybe less influences from Di Rosa-Combas paintings, and of course Pabloisms in the background.

This said I'm really not good at paintings at all and near to totally uneducated.

I like the Fosse aux lions and the geometral ones. Maybe for the work on textures/3D impressions. Don't know.

For some reason it's easier for me to write music for movies than for pictures.

But nice idea, nice project and nice pictures.

JUst not for me.

The first period (which is actually the later one) has nothing to do with Di Rosa or Combas

"linearstructure:period" means the main idea behind all themes are structures in any kind of composition with a forward motion ! At least a linear evolution and a natural flow of inspiration and consecutive moods and suggestions !

It seems you have a deep feeling and a good eye for forms ... so that's all what counts ... I studied history of art but I always realize the brain can prevent you from the accession of your arty soul

Why you don't put on cinema in your head and let flow the process and you could be surprised what you will originate

Hi Miraba, I really like your paintings so I went to see the higher resolution images only they're not really higher resolution, just bigger blurry images. Just in case you don't keep high resolution pictures of your paintings you really should, because they're too good not to!

Concerning the "piccamira:period" I fully agree with you !
The pictures of the "linearstructure:period" are in high resolution !
If I find time I will provide a higher resolution, but for the moment this should suffice

If anyone needs the high res for his inspiration you can let me know !
