little synthesizer tune

I was supposed to be working on something potentially paid tonight, but somehow I ended playing around again... Shuffling through stuff on disk, I found a bunch of sounds I recorded one day from an old synthesizer, that I usually keep locked in the box. I put some of them into Alchemy and I've got this...

I thought, I might be a good idea to just post it and pretend that I actually have some work done... If you're still reading, here's a little extra, those few samples that were used here, grab if you like, they might help you to dodge work the other day, who knows.

It's a nice tune with both personality and character. There is a bit of background noise which adds to the atmosphere and gives it the feel of an old record.
I consider this work. A job well done.

Not bad at all soundwise. It has a certain sound (at least I) haven't heard too
often.
But maybe thats alchemy that does it?
May I ask for the name on the original synth ?
I would also consider it as work since there is a "product".
Cheers
P.S Thanks for the DL
often.

There it is: http://www.vintagesynth.com/sci/stk.php
Hideaway studio made a proper sample set earlier this year.
Mine has quite a noise floor, which is likely the source of background noise.
All of 'oscillator' slots in Alchemy were filled with samples, so if it ain't there, it must be some alchemical processing.

Unfortunately I don't own Kontakt but I must say those instruments
are tempting and fair priced.
Guess I have to settle for my 100+ soft synths
Thanks for the Fog Horns BTW

Yes, personally for this one time I haven't been tempted...sbj wrote:Unfortunately I don't own Kontakt but I must say those instruments

I had occasional thought, to make an attempt on sampling it, but I've never got myself to do it. I could share the rest of the sound bunch, yet I'm not sure these are worth it, considering the noise floor and that these are practically not 'multi-samples' at all.
