when i first started posting music here 10 years ago, i used to try to have the loudest music in this forum. no really, i wanted it to still be heard even though people turned their volumes all the way down, closed their browser or even turn off their computer.

It sounds pretty good to me - no major issues with loudness on my speakers here (and I've just compared it to some other tracks, eg by Actress).
However, whilst the percussion has a nice dynamic feel to it, the melody seems to be over-compressed and lacking in life a little bit. However, that might be as a result of SoundCloud's own uploading/playback issues.
Overall, a nice tune.

soundcloud has nothing to do with it. it is recorded too hot and suffers over compression "pumping"Doug1978 wrote:the melody seems to be over-compressed and lacking in life a little bit. However, that might be as a result of SoundCloud's own uploading/playback issues.
it forces you to lower your listening volume which in turn makes it sound undynamic and flat.
ever use DR dynamic range meter?
here is a screen grab of a busy part of this guys song.
see where it indicates over?... too loud.
see where the DR is 5? too compressed, should be 8-10 for a chill track.

What's with the attitude? Your sarcastic reply to the OP is very rude.
Yes, I have used TT Dynamic Meter many, many times.
Soundcloud issues are well documented all over the internet.
If you're only going to make snide comments, why bother posting here?
