Hey everyone, first post to the forum so be gentle if you can.

I just wanted to post something I've been working on and gain a bit of feedback.

So the idea behind this piece is that it's split into four segments, one for each of the elements. The point was to try to create musical ideas from nothing but field recordings, something I've been getting into recently. So the audio below features no drums and no synthesized sounds (although some synthesis techniques were explored using the field recordings). All sounds used for each segment are only related to that element.

Have a listen and see what you think.

Any feedback/constructive criticism is welcome :)

Very original and unusual approach (fire, earth water air)
Interesting and not boring although based on FX and sound mangling.
That's good

Cheers

The sound design is fantastic! Very nice mix. I wouldn't mind a bit of melody but it works quite well as it stands. :tu:

Thanks very much for listening to it everyone, I really appreciate the kind words :)

I ended up making a series of videos talking about the composition and sound design so if anyone is curious have a watch and hopefully I can share some ideas with people.
