Hmmmm, that must be the reverb on the snare giving that effect. Will revisit it in a few days and see if I can relate.

Now you point that out, it does sound a bit hatty. Hadn't really noticed while listening until I read your comment though. Cannot be unheard

I particularly loved the bass/perc groove. It sounded very "warm", which isn't necessarily something I associate with the genre, but it works really well.

Thanks for the listen. I do agree there is nothing particularly original or groundbreaking in this track, simply a nod to the genre. Plus sampling a 50 year old song surely wouldn't help with the deja vu
