meh .... the original instrumental is weak/bland to begin with ... mediocre would be aspirational, imo. the strength of that single is the hook (it's always about the hook these days). doing a weak cover of an instrumental that was weak to begin with, is not a good look ... but I guess you'll probably cash in on the wave the single is making, in some nominal way. credit to you for putting your work out there.
