Dance to the beat of the drumzzsss

Some great tunes and sounds and most of all grooves happening this month; for judging I went about as if I would be in a recordstore back in the DJ years. Quick skimming, getting bitten by that special mechanism that is somewhere situated in the hips.

A colorful bunch of ten to the floor tunes 8)

1) Techbot - ballam de nana haydum (superb)
2) Glooper - discomission (it just works you know :) very vicky sue robbinson too)
3) Shuzhen - epic shapes elapse (detroit meets chicago in 2005 - this made me think back to derrick may, carl craig and stacey pullen :love:)
4) Scuzzphut - Screamer (stomper ;), would love to hear an endmusik remix too)
5) ugo - bonfire (tribal 80's with a touch of underworld)
6) Art Gillespie - Controversy (a former Prince-fan here :oops: top-cover)
7) Pepelogu - KVR (electro with perhaps some cliché elements, but done very good)
8 Bastien - Nacht (if you ever publish do it on 45 as this would work on 33 too 8))
9) Markleford - rioazul (can I have a cocktail with that, even some James Last in there :o)
10) GuitarJeff - The Buzz (ahhhhhh and back on the floor)

HM's Griels, warmbug, Knoob, Pheeleep, rockstarnot, mully & liqih and all others for a great month

The entries this month are all so good it was exceptionally hard to choose a top10. It hurt everytime I deleted a song from the playlist. But anyway...

1 : Ugo - Bonfire -> This is just my style! Intense rhythm and intense meloy. Well, intense everything. Also, it's one of those few songs that actually feel complete in 2 minutes;
2 : Khepira - Ikt Hut Eit -> Very creative and fun;
3 : Vurt - dance or die, it's your choice -> Very creative and... well, fun isn't the word. Thi i just bad ass(how I love those expressions);
4 : Liquih - Tip Tap Stomp -> Yet another creative entry. Probably the most creative tune I've heard this year. Alright, that's it! Can't you people go mediocre?!;
5 : Thomekk - lalala -> Love the upbeat melodies and how it all goes to hell in the end. The huge snares work well with the track too;
6 : Kaze - Jinro and other spirits -> Oh, what a surprise! Another creative entry! You bastards!!!;
7 : Scuzzphut - Screamer -> I already gave you a review in the review thread and I don't really have anything to say(just like in the review thread);
8 : Bastien Phelps - Nacht -> I'll give you a useless but flattering review - YOU DA MAN!!!;
9 : Astanine - Halothane -> :lol: Why does this song make me think of that german "MCDONALD'S MCDONALD'S KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN PIZZA HUT" song?;
10 : Griels - Transmogrified -> The bass alone makes this worth hearing;

Almost made it:

GuitarJeff - Catch the buzz : GuitarJeff goes Justin Timberlake!!! :o Well, only at parts. It's a very good song, really, but you have some tough competition this month.
Wopelka - The Cave Hall Electro Menuet : You already know how I feel about your entry;
Mchlwlsn - seeker : Promising song, and the filtered drums work well in parts but it sounds like you're going for an intense song. If you really want intense, you could leave the filtered drums for the quieter parts, and remove the filters for the more intense sections;
Pheeleep - Make Music for Fun : Very good song, but not exactly danceable. Sounds great for the end of a rave, though, when everybody's too tired to dance anymore;
Youtm - Feedback and Oscilate(Recursive Mix) : Your music's always fun and danceable. This is another keeper from you(I'm yet to hear you make a bad song, by the way...);
Mystahr - Summer's Breeze : Probably the least danceable of them all but too good not to make the list. It's not immediately accessible(your stuff never is) but it gets better with each listen;

HMs(in no particular order):

Armadillo : It really isn't my style but the lead at 1:30 grew in me. I keep coming back to this song just for that part.
Shuzhen : Great feel. Kind of a more club oriented Jazzanova.
Rockstar_not : I love the clav. 'Nuff said.
Gregjazz : I can't really tell you anything you haven't been told before. Great production, great song.
Glooper : This is FUN! I could listen to the main hook for hours.
Chooch : Very impressive programming and has a very appealing dark feel.
Knoob : Incredibly cheesy. It sounds just like every song that used to play in MTV in Portugal 6 years ago.

I let my feet decide ;-)

1. Ugo - this one's so cool

2. Glooper - this one as well

3. Liqih - grooves like hell

4. Lady J - great d'n b track

5. Art Gillespie - cool 80's groove of the best kind

6. UTM - cool and groovy

7. Richie Bee - that's funky - I just think the vox are even far cheesier than mine...

8. Knoob - I usually don't like trance but this track is really beautyful

9. Thomekk - really cool - should probably get a higher vote from me...

10 Xavier - I can't dance to tango but I would love to be able to when I listen to this beautyful song

There were lots of other great tracks! :-D 8)
