Cubase 8 - hidden windows issue with Valahalla

Just found a varient of the "hidden windows" issue with Cubase 8 - when you try and click on the browse for presets they merely flash up. If you click on the top frame of the plug in and uncheck "always on top" it will then be ok. For a while.

This seems to be part of a bigger issue Steinberg are aware of.

It seems to affect any Juce-based plugin that uses PopUpWIndows or the ComboBox class.

Sean, it's alot of stuff that is affected. Kontakt apparently is and so is Emulator X3 - so a very wide range I think.

Steinberg is a bit overfocussed on their own plugins during Beta-cycles it seems.

This sounds quite bad :-| Hope it will be fixed soon.

Same problem with Kaivo... I hope it gets solved quickly. :s

I guess that as there is nothing posted here to address this issue neither Valhalla nor Steinberg have between them fixed this issue?

Same thing is happening with my DDMF EQ... thanks for posting... thought I was going crazy, or was my computer.

I assume it's a result of Steinberg's new way of handling windows which overall is nice - but this is a downside - you can turn off "always on top" but I think it comes back next time you open it.

I've now got used to it and it's not an issue except with Emulator X which keeps spawning new windows and will crash the whole thing if you don't properly deal with them.

So basically it's up to Steinberg to sort.
