Hi ,
I recently got Studio Bundle I from Ultimate Acoustics which costs around $ 120 for 9 pairs .

When I saw online on other brands , it was $13.71 for 6 pairs .

What's the difference ? Why is the first one costly ? Are those the same ?

Foam is really not the best choice for room treatment. Acoustic panels may be a better choice if you have the budget.

Foam is better than nothing but it's true it's not the best damper. The length of the wedges also matters but for practical reasons you might not find regular dampers with long wedges. The link give more info about that, https://www.comsol.com/blogs/modeling-r ... tructures/
In the next link you can see some good pictures on how to position these panels and if you know how sound is reflected it will make sense when you see these pictures, https://www.panacoustics.com/fullhemi-a ... mbers.html
Finally, the purpose of dampers is to kill the reflected sound waves and for best result you need to consider your monitors position in relation to the walls and placement of the dampers, and also consider the position where you sit as a listener in relation to walls and dampers. Room size matters as well. I saw many times how people try hard to place dampers behind the monitors as if that is the most important, and at then forgetting about the wall behind the listening position. Picture give a good illustration

Can't say specifically with the ones you've selected, but I recently went through a similar process. The main differences I found were in the thickness of the panels and whether they were fire retardant. I went with the more expensive option since I also didn't want to risk cheap panels "offgassing" plastic smells for months.vignesh.vijay wrote:Hi ,

I ended up with 10 large panels and they made a massive difference to the room. Your ears pick up the difference in ambient noise as soon as you enter.

Also the wedges are 6 on the second one and 12 on the first one .Richard deHove wrote:
