What is the most amount of apps you can instal on your iPad before you start noticing performance loss in the apps you are running?

Depends which apps and which ipad

As a sort of indicator here's how Korg expect gadget to work
Each gadget is sort of a separate app within gadget

Approximate number of devices and tracks

iPad Air Normal operation 20 - 25 track When used with the Freeze function 30 - 35 track iPad mini Retina Normal operation 20 - 25 track When used with the Freeze function 30 - 35 track iPad
(4th generation) Normal operation 15 track When used with the Freeze function 20 track iPad
(3rd generation) Normal operation 8 track

There's no relation between the amount of apps installed and the performance of an iPad.
