A Melody track - How can I isolate completly of Chord influence?

Hi. Is there any way to write and isolate a melody track so that the chord change to not alter the melody? I tried the demo but it seems that the only way to preserve a track is to import it as an audio track. How wrong am I?

if i understand your Q. correctly..
yes
1-keep Melody Phrase as "Absolute" do not convert phrase to the Relative form.
2- or convert relative form but use Scale Notes (+Semitones)

if you want to try your melody in different keys - scales then option 2 converting Scale Notes (+Semitones) is the right way
