I have an sf2 soundfont bank I'd like to use with RC.
What are steps for using it?
Edit: I figured out how to load the sf2 and the instruments are available for preview mode except for Bass Preview. For some reason, it isn't listed.

Either copy the sf2 file into the following folder:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\RapidComposerV3\Soundfonts
The soundfont will appear in RC after the next start.
Or manually add a soundfont under the Settings / Soundfonts tab.
The added soundfont is usable immediately.

Thanks Attila, I wonder why the sf2 doesn't show up for Bass Preview.
Don't I need an inst file for the sf2 like the stock sf2 that come with RC?

Good question. Because the menu was not updated due to a bug. It is fixed now.Musical Gym wrote:Thanks Attila, I wonder why the sf2 doesn't show up for Bass Preview.
No, the program will create the instrument definition when you add a soundfont. Editing the file is rarely needed, it is used for storing preset properties and tags.Musical Gym wrote:Don't I need an inst file for the sf2 like the stock sf2 that come with RC?
