chords naming

Hello,

first big up for RC its great tool amazing thing that i just discovered.
I am a total newbie, but just a quick question:
why do chords change if i select different chord naming, isnt it just suppose to change name not chords?

How can i change to scale degrees, when importing midi so the chords dont change

welcome to this forum!

You are right, the chords should not change when using a different naming.
This is a complicated issue which I am aware of, but still have not found a good solution.
E.g. when you have chords like Em D C (in E minor scale) they will be converted to Im VII VI but while D is lower than E, VII is a higher note than I so the phrase will jump up by an octave. So VII and VI should be transposed down by an octave so that phrases don't change. I'll try to fix this in the next few days.
