DIY keyboard stand/shelf

So my buddy and I just combined studios, and now I have synths just laying all over. I wanna to get a shelf or multi tier stand or something, but they are pretty spendy. I was gonna try to build one myself, and was wondering if anyone had any luck doing this. Is it cheaper in the end? what's a good way to do it? It should be able to support 3 monosynths and a jx 3p
