Forum audio player never works for me

As the title says, the audio player implemented in people's forum posts won't work for me in 90% of the cases... dunno what it is really. I'm using Firefox latest version, and should have all the necessary sites unblocked in NoScript. Whenever i click on the play button on the audio player, the symbol changes into the pause icon, as if it would be playing back, but it doesn't play anything.
