After an insanely long beta phase, I am proud to announce the final version of the Feedback Compressor II.
Download here: http://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-feedback-compressor-2/
Changes since beta 9:
- Overall performance improvements (about ~6% less cpu load)
- Small stability improvements
- Additional presets by Dax Linière
- Mono edition
Known issues:
- SSE2 required
- Mac VST/AU requires OS-X 10.6 or above
Spread the word! And if you find the time, consider writing a review!

Thank you, Fabien! Great plugin, indeed!
A mastering compressor, plain and simply put.

This one is "complete" for now. But a "Gentleman's Edition" is already in the works, see this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&start=15

it's a very good compressor, however the latency and the CPU usage makes me think again about actually using it in my projects.

There's always a price to pay! I can't fight physics. Yet. However, you can be certain that huge effort was put into performance optimizations!3ee wrote: however the latency and the CPU usage makes me think again about actually using it in my projects.
It's 2013, a single stereo instance creates a load of 0.8% on my (very new) computer - which is IMHO definitely reasonable for such a sophisticated mastering processor.

For the mono version it would be more user friendly to still have a left and right output channel so you can slap it on inside any DAW without having to manually route the left output to the right input of the next part of the signal chain.

It would be helpful to see the validation logs. I suspect something, but I'd like to be sure.debra1rlo wrote:fwiw, mono version did not pass and crashed Logic Express 8 on 2 attempts, on 10.6.8, so i deleted
AU mono version hot-fix in the next days!
