Normally, when velocity layering drum samples, I keep the velocity setting at full (i.e. 1).
But sometimes I am dealing with normalized samples and sometimes un-normalized samples.
What setting should be for each type of group / wav ?
Here is what the comparison looks like for un-normalized samples for three settings (1, 0, -1) :
I think it should be zero for un-normalized samples and one for normalized samples, but just need to confirm that as well as what is the -1 or inter-mediate values for . Is it essentially a multipler for the volume ?

Yes. Velocity will simply say how much MIDI velocity affects playback amplitude. If you are happy with the volume differential created by your velocity layers you can set it to zero.
