MiniLab with Analog Lab as VST plug-in? (Fixed with firmware update)

So using the Analog Lab preset (preset 2) on the minilab, works fine in standalone, but doesn't turn the knobs barely at all when Analog Lab is a VST plug-in. It takes about 20 turns to get the onscreen knob to turn.

I've watched the videos and can't find anything about using minilab with the analog lab software as plug-in.

thanks

Hi,

please take a look at this page:

I don't know what is your DAW, but it is necessary to use the latest firmware.

Hi David, as I said, I've watched all those videos. Can you point me to the exact video and time where someone discusses or demonstrates using the Minilab with Analog lab as a plug-in?

Have any of you at Arturia actually tried using minilab with analog lab vst (on a mac)? I keep getting referred to those videos which do not show plug-in use.

As I've said, standalone works fine in relative mode - pad preset 2 (shift + pad 2). Midi learn works fine with other software. This is all the videos show. But who's using standalone rather than plug-in? Is it not reasonable to expect that the minilab works in relative mode with the analog lab preset also in plug-in mode? Currently it doesn't, only standalone.

Firmware update fixed the issue.

So mapping to Analog works (with relative mode) and midi learn works in absolute.
However the Ableton Live control surface script doesn't work well. It takes about 6 turns of a knob to do a full sweep of a software parameter.

If you want to use the preset selector knob and the pads for Analog Lab VST on FL Studio, you have to click on the "gear" icon and set "MIDI IN" to listen to whatever port you've mapped your MiniLab to (I've set mine to "0") and then you need to select channel 10 from the "midi" dropdown menu. You don't have to map anything, it just works like the standalone.

Obviously this isn't ideal so I've reported these issues to Arturia and they are hopefully working on them.

If you want to actually program your controller, the MIDI Control Center app they ship with it is total crap. Email their support and ask for the beta.

Hi,
I'm Ben tester at Arturia.
The new MIDI Control Center is coming.
You can download a prerelease here :

Thanks for sharing the link Ben. :)

I think you should also add that link to the MiniLab web pages because (at least on Windows) the AMCC beta works tons better:
