hi, i don't have DH Breakpoint Input 1.0.2+

could someone post it, please? (or via PM)
or maybe stick it in the usergroup files section?
(i've seen it asked for before)
needed for the jack cables demo.

thanks

(are there any other little known DH modules? ;) )

A lot :-) you need to download the key mod to

i have the subcontrol packs/midi/matrix/regcontrol/and a folder with

array2
biquadfilter
granulator
matchgate
omnistepper
pitch to cv3
queue
queue2
samplesnatcher I
stack
wavefile info
waceplayer2=
waveshaper to cv
wavewriter
samplesnatcher II

the breakpoint input in the samplepacks is all GUI, v1.2.3
it is also refered to as 1.1+ (?) in help.

1.0.2+ is a dsp module. don't seem to have it here. any idea where it
is hosted? (where did i get these other ones? maybe i missed it on his site?)
looks like this:

maybe it can be rebuilt with GUI side.

i wasn't into SE when these came out, or the EVM free modules.
there must be stacks i don't have if i don't have any commercial
packs.

above all, i missed discussions about how to use them, so it's a bit
hit 'n' miss here :)

i dig around, find something interesting, find out how it works, it
keeps me happy for months :) then i try another one...

thanks - but that's the one from the subcontrol pack4, v1.2.3

it is the one needed to run the old 'jack cables' prefab(should really
buy kirsty roland's sems, now - but curious to see how that one works)

*cough* it's ahem in the usergroup files section.. 8)

Cool, wonder why I didn't have it, I have all the yahoo stuff, maybe it conflicted with a newer one.

I learned how to make a vocoder from rzs 12band vocoder from there, lol took a few days to make sense of his crazy wiring. He made that Flagrum arp, it was really good.

ah yeah: Flagrum Arp is one of the best early VSTi, one of
the only with a decent action, as i remember. slightly challenging
GUI.

you know too how important all those old files are: that was a really
fertile period, evidently. someone said recently that the drop-off in
activity was due mainly to the loss of novelty factor for the audio
community at large, whereas before, modular audio on a PC,
attracted interest from all the best skills.

sooner or later, those people are going to want to get on with something
else. if you look at robojam's reaktor thread, he's observing on a similar
slowing down - people just burn out on sitting in front of projects for weeks
on end, and want to get back to music.

need to rescue all those files and host them somewhere via the new forum. i went
through *all* old ones for synthedit gathering and usergroup, i think, as far as
you can, and made shortlist selections for interesting stuff to look at again.
really productive, with lots of starting points for ideas, and educational.
same with *.sem/sep files. downloadthemall seems to handle it ok-haha originally,
i did it file by file, that was a laugh on SEG, it kept sending you back to some page
that wasn't the home page,..sitting in cyber caffs downloading to a pendrive, so
the folders are a bit chaotic, mixed with other stuff i was finding. best to just do it
all over again, if i get time/motivation.

i'd even overlooked the skins folder -bemoaning the lack of info and tutorials/skins
for beginners: it's all up there, but just chucked into a bag for the finding.
it is a great resource.

i think the major user changes when 1.1 came in may have discouraged a lot
of users. and now steaming on to reach 64bit/Mac export, making it a whole
new thing again: that's very disruptive for users with routines they are happy
with. from what i saw of 1.2, it is a whole new program evolving. these are
just my opinions, resulting from a certain sense of disappointment in SE 1.1
-*which i still haven't used* because it seems a hassle and i want to continue
at present with existing projects, no time/will to relearn everything just now.
(sorry Jeff, you hear it all the time! 'forward' development is all that is going
on - no retro fixes policy) - and only for one main reason really, the way the
colours display when i try to use a low luminance background colour. i will load
SE1.1-which i avoid, because it affects last/recent files loaded list>>> *my other
quibble* - Peter Scoofster provided a *.bat file on the usergroup, to fix the way
SE handles this.

these are two important things that need resolving, and, to my lumpen mind,
seems to not involve main operation of the program/environment.
SynthEdit with full colour control preferences @ 1.1914, and its own recent files
list, and better preferences for file directory locations would be ace. i don't
think anyone could complain(unless there are other things i don't know about yet)

then take this through to the 1.2 level - same display philosophy. seems logical.
but, as with much else about SE, maybe there a higher concept thing going on
that we mere users are not aware of yet :p

the balance of simplicity ( a blank page to start from ) and up-to-date compatibility
is what we really want, isn't it? i don't need some snazzy graphic in front of me when
i'm examining the order of some connections i can't remember doing - above all, i'd
want to avoid damaging my eyesight.mmm? can i invert colours in windows for this?
get some retro green on black background going...amstrad style..

there are also the hidden old SE modules that load in some old projects,
but don't exist in the Insert Menu. s'pose he had to carry those on for
compatibility for old projects - so it isn't a new issue, i guess, and it
could be that 1.017 is a cleanup of a 1.016 that was carrying round loads
of old stuff. only differences i've identified are the way Int2List and Scope2
are described as obsolete.

so - like a project file - there must have been some point where he wanted to
draw a line and start in a fresh direction - through necessity? problems with
multicore? multiple instances? and then same again with 1.2, with the need
for 64bit/Mac - all driven by loud complaining.
