meet Keith the Kick:
http://www.native-instruments.com/en/re ... show/9287/
kick drum done properly
edit: heavily updated - new GUI - better filter usw...
this uses a complex audio pulse to trigger a ZDF band pass filter
like in the old days before samples...

@highkoo
pretty much finished
any further updates will be minor
@The Chase
not sure what you mean by details?
built in Reaktor 6 - you'll need latest version installed:
based on TR-808 topology
that is:
shaped audio trigger (click) attached to the input of a bandpass filter
with a very fast filter frequency modulation envelope
followed by a lowpass 'tone' control and an invisible hipass filter to remove the nasties...
this filter is based upon Benjamin Poddig's ZDF 4 pole ladder filter
adapted to 2 pole band pass with extra feedback inserts
so it behaves a bit more like a Sallen-Key filter
the trigger is delayed twice to achieve the combing/phasing effect found in TR-808
caused by diode drops etc... check TR-808 spectrum and circuit diagram to see what i mean
plus loads of added trigger control
the pitch envelope has loads control unlike the original for achieving a wider range of sounds
Brett Lavallee added quite a few saturation options
loads of presets and a great GUI with full 'Blocks' modulation of everything
you can get it to sound 'like' a TR-808
but without the trademark 'pitch sag'
and without the accent - because working out what goes on in the accent cct is tricksy
but it is not an emulation
and is much more versatile

THANK YOU!!!! Blocks ROCK - they finally deliver what I always imagined Reaktor would be. And these 3rd party contributions are fantastic.

here is Henry the Hat:
http://www.native-instruments.com/en/re ... show/9391/
Henry is based on Schmitt trigger topology:
6 square waves - tuned and filtered - like TR-808 HiHat/Cowbell section
+ hardware style hacks:
tune controls for oscillators 1-4 & 5+6
and a mix control between the two sections
eg: original cowbell only used oscs 1-4
click and tone controls are mutually dependent
also added retriggering for phasey and doubling stuff - time and amount
wait til you meet Sydney....

Very nice. I can't wait for the next Komplete Ultimate to come out so I can finally play with all these fun Reaktor 6 blocks!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.
