hi, can anyone remember whether NI include upgrades in their sales?

I'm thinking of upgrading to Reaktor 6 but if upgrades are included in sales I'll hang on.

Possibly need to see if Komplete upgrades around Christmas because that would work better for me.

couple of other questions

I've seen that they have changed the sample import / sample mapping? Is it better?

Finally - are there any new ensembles in R6 apart from the blocks wired?

No.

I couldn't say- I haven't played around with it yet. I should do some experimenting...

The ones in Blocks itself- Unwired's a subset of what's in Blocks. Other than that- no.

ok, thanks Eric.

I seem to recall now the upgrade wasn't included in the sales.

I was thinking maybe the next version of Komplete might be a more economical way to update (I have K9 now) but then I don't use much of Komplete now so maybe I should just upgrade the R6 and pick up products separately.

They used to have upgrades on sale but they reduced the overall price of Reaktor and the upgrade so it's just cheaper all round.

Change your address in your NI account if getting stung by tax
Though I don't officially sanction this I know it works ;)
Amazon: why not use an alternative

um, I'm ok with paying tax, that's not my question but thanks anyway.

as far as I can tell the sample import / mapping is the same but they also have built a new sampling framework in core that you use the mouse area module to load samples into instead of using the regular sample map. R6 library includes all the legacy / R5 stuff, the new blocks (.ins) and I think some ensemble examples of the blocks all wired up. but also consider that even if you don't wanna use blocks, they have inspired a lot of interesting builder activity which cant be hacked apart and picked through in R5.

yes, I'm interested in blocks. I never got into creating my own stuff previously - I made a simple mono synthbut it was very basic.

I've got hardware modulars and the blocks thing seems very straightforward - at least to start.

You wont regret it.

I've been wondering about and waiting for this too. The crossgrade offer to K10 isn't really worth it to me without Reaktor 6, as I don't really want all the other stuff included with it. If there was a half off or reduced upgrade to R6, I'd jump on it. If the crossgrade to K11 was the same as to K10 now, I'd probably make that upgrade.

There is no K11, AFAIK :?:

This is how much I've paid attention to Komplete: I have no idea which is the current version and which is the one that's rumored to be released next, possibly later this year.
