Is this patch part of the upcoming Oldskool Vol. 3?

I just happened to be flipping through these photos:

While listening to this. They fit together almost eerily well.

This is a Human League-ish synthpop tune. It needs vocals but I don't have a singer yet. All synth sounds are Z2.

I started the MP3 and then clicked your link to the photo serie. That was a really weird feeling i got, for some reason those two things kinda merged into one entity. When i reached the last photo the music was fading. Weird, really weird but also very special Thx a bunch kuniklokuniklo wrote:I just happened to be flipping through these photos:

Like the fact that it sounds very clean and neat. I can see what you mean with the human league thing Are you using any comp or limiter ? Perhaps give it a good portion of limiter and adjust balance after that. Maybe some EQ before comp with deep lows.kuniklo wrote:This is a Human League-ish synthpop tune. I'm still a total novice at mixing so all advice is very welcome. I'll give your suggestions a shot. The drums are just the Goldbaby Tape808 samples in an Ableton drum rack. Nothing fancy, just a bit of the stock Ableton compressor. I've tried to leave some room for some kind of vocal in this track with the result that it probably sounds pretty spare without them.mkastrup wrote: Like the fact that it sounds very clean and neat. Had a ltille problem placing the genre at first but as it continued the best word that pops in my mind is Psychedelic Heavy Synth Music heh heh. I like it, thou its a tad too long, also, looks like you made a two min. pause after the fade and end the track with some odd stuff. Dont know if its ment to be that way. Love the drums, the ambience and how they sound like. My first thought was that this should be double speed somehow with a distorted voice in front.
Good one thou

This short piece (about a minute and a half) uses about 15 Zebra2 instances. I call it "Doodle". I hope you enjoy it.

I used a lot of Howard Scarr's patches, which I gravitate towards. I recently bought his "Zebra Science" patch library, and am extremely satisfied with it.
Thanks,
