Grab yourself a Latin dictionary. Plenty of unused words in one of those, just choose a short random word. Then change the w.o.r.d. into an acronym.Urs wrote:Yeah, hmmm... female vocalist samples... can't reach the website... won't be in my Diva (which I happily write with small letter, no prob).

Nope. One of Diva's personalities will have a rather digital source of inspiration. Most sources have names of gods and goddesses though, as diva's original Italian meaning is goddess. Some desciples are also on the list, as are some sources that have nothing in common with mythology other than their sound.bmrzycki wrote:Urs, I take it your little exploration into supersaw oscillator waves is something entirely different from Diva?
Today we can certainly say that some dinosaurs were digital. Another working title for Diva was Virtual Analogue and Digital Emulation Retrosynth, or "Vader". But I found that way too reminiscent to someone else...

Well 'Vader' are poland's numero uno DM exports. One of my all time faviourite bands for sure Urs
They use synths/samples sometimes for intro's and such but one the whole it is more straight up Death Metal
Edit: Shit i forgot about the Darth Vader: Pissing off star wars die hards is not a good idea i would think although a synth called the 'Deathstar' is sounding good to me and here is one of top 10 Vader tracks FWIW:

I love the sound of the SH-101, not the bass, the lead stuff, just thought I would share; it is a Jurassic synth right, just wondering.

I must admit, I found the SH-101s overly expensive and thus I havn't got one yet. My SH-09 is gear porn though. Got it in immaculate condition. There is however something on the horizon... ehm... would be if Ebay hadn't kicked me out.Happy Frog wrote:I love the sound of the SH-101, not the bass, the lead stuff, just thought I would share; it is a Jurassic synth right, just wondering.

As for release dates... sheesh... I have loads of other things to do first, including another vapourware named Uhbik-X and moving my studio...

the 101 is the only old synth i would ever buy again if i had too, easily the best sound of any 80's synth bar none. (and most fun)Urs wrote:I must admit, I found the SH-101s overly expensive and thus I havn't got one yet.Happy Frog wrote:I love the sound of the SH-101, not the bass, the lead stuff, just thought I would share; it is a Jurassic synth right, just wondering.

Well, I don't know. For me it's the Juno 60, and then probably the Jupiter 6 (might arrive next week)Kriminal wrote:the 101 is the only old synth i would ever buy again if i had too, easily the best sound of any 80's synth bar none. (and most fun)
