I've been trying to get in touch with stiwi, the guy behind alphakanal who created the automat VSTi, for quite a long while now. The reason is that the original version (pre-1.0, v0.4.2) crashes, as of Mac OS X 10.6 (I believe). Myself and many others have used the original Automat in tons of projects, which we can't open anymore (without downgrading OS first temporarily...) I've tried to get in touch with him via forums, email, etc. to offer to pay him to fix the crash, or to buy the source code so that I can fix it myself, but I haven't heard from him. I'm hoping that someone here is a friend of his and can help me get in touch, so that I can get some of my old tracks back. Thanks in advance.

As a side note, the situation is desperate enough that I spent some time trying to fix the issue with IDA Pro. I'm not really convinced this is possible, but if anyone is an absolute "pro" at IDA Pro, I'd be willing to pay for a hacked fix.

I use to dig that synth but it hasn't been updated since 2009 as far as i can tell
