Metering idea

Since metering is being discussed, here’s a little idea:-

A nice wide meter showing the frequency scale divided up into, say, 128 bands. Histogram style.
Multiple inputs, up to one per sequencer track, colour coded with a fair bit of transparency.

Bass track in red, kick track in blue showing that nasty overlap you want to eq out in purple anyone?

Not sure the vst standard allows for multi-input so it might have to be built in to a host.

While not behaving exactly as you describe, GlissEQ by Voxengo allows to view several spectra in one window.
