Professionals that get like 100k or more a year. If they're a DJ, they make 2-3k a night(!), always have the latest gear, smoke and drink (or even worse: do drugs). Yet they can not affort a synth that is 140EUR (excl. VAT, you even get the VAT back if you do your taxes in Europe!).

Well, they need the money for a big sport car to impress the girls and while cruising around, they don't care about the software developers...

It's the most famous synth and dead easy to use. Choose a preset, and you're good to go. Now all you have to do is copying the mainstream songs! Instant success!

It just smacks a lot more of 'genius marketing' than it does 'kids wanting toys' is what Im saying...
Dont most kids want to play with the 'just-released', and 'most expensive' toy? Why are they going for a years-old, inexpensive, dead synth?

In most interviews of famous mainstream DJs kids read that they're using Sylenth. So they want to use Sylenth, too...

(We admit that some DJs are even using Massive and some nerds like Martin Solveig might be using Synthmaster... )

It's logical. Most famous synth that happens to have a clearly visible "license plate"... They won't click on "about" button all of the sudden in other software. ...it would be interesting to see it though.

I haven't or won't read 8 pages so far, but I will say my quick 2c.. The situation does piss me off to a degree.. but not Lennard whatsoever.. it's FM i am annoyed at. I have officially boycotted them and CM now once and for all, as it's not the first time they have done this.. It's irresponsible and reckless and they are promoting warez and don't even care.. Seeing a known producer using cracked software on a famous magazine's video is going to send the message that it's ok to do so. I think the answer here is for us to complain to FM and to boycott buying their magazine. Seriously. I expect a full public apology and explanation from them ASAP if it hasn't been done already. Failure to do so means i simply won't be buying anything from that publication group anymore. I will answer THAT way, with my wallet.

As far as the little criminal dweeb producer is concerned.. people should realise by now it's just how the world works.. the bad get away with it and even praised for it.. Guys/Gals. Just believe in Karma, trust me on this.. Have faith in the universe balancing things out eventually.. And more importantly, just because he is famous and is a thief, don't let that make you think even slightly that you should be doing it to "cause he is". Feel proud of being legit, do the right thing and have a clean conscience.. The best things in life ARE free my friends.. A clear conscience is priceless.. knowing within oneself they are doing the right thing is priceless.

Us complaining here will not change anything.. the kid's sales will not go down.. people who buy (or download lol) his music won't care..Other than giving FM a one time, quick piece of your mind personally, and/or stopping supporting THEM, let it go.

I will say this, how anyone could think the responsibility here or blame lies on anyone other than solely FM, is confusing to me.
