Same league as "Standing in the Shadows" is this great documentary of one of the finest 'forgotten' pop/rock/jazz musicians, Carol Kaye,
"First Lady of Bass" from director Pekka Rautionmaa.
Carol Kaye was/is as skilful as Jamerson, but as a female never got the same respect.
Her CV is unbelievable, among others Petsounds, Good Vibrations, hundreds of LPs, film music etc. etc.

More a show than a documentary, but it is something quite special seeing 30000+ German's going nuts to Marillion, not to mention Fish attempts at karate kicks

Surprised to see no mention of Asif Kapadia's Amy yet. It's an incredible film.

Apparently Jamerson is even credited with famous bass lines that Kaye wrote and played. She got plenty of respect from the musicians she played with back in the day and is still highly regarded by people regardless of what bits they happen to have between their legs.Harry_HH wrote:Same league as "Standing in the Shadows" is this great documentary of one of the finest 'forgotten' pop/rock/jazz musicians, Carol Kaye,
