I'm always wondering why Coldplay gets some hate in the UK. I always loved them, especially their first 3 albums...Kriminal wrote:Tricky-Loops wrote:

agree with tricky. i can only remember two other "artists" which have the same calibre like AoB: DJ Ötzi and DJ Bobo!Tricky-Loops wrote:I'm always wondering why Coldplay gets some hate in the UK. I always loved them, especially their first 3 albums...Kriminal wrote:Tricky-Loops wrote:

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I don't understand why anyone would diss Radiohead, whether you like their music or not (it's hit and miss for me) you can't deny that it's creative and individualistic, which goes against the grain of pop culture nowdays.

While I have some sympathy for "Anton aus Tirol" (at least, Gerry sings in Austrian), I always HATED DJ Bobo, not the person but his boring mainstream DJ music with boring lyrics in English.murnau wrote:agree with tricky. i can only remember two other "artists" which have the same calibre like AoB: DJ Ötzi and DJ Bobo!Tricky-Loops wrote:I'm always wondering why Coldplay gets some hate in the UK. The musicals (or musical inspired concerts idk) bobo did in more recent years f**king cracked me up. I think one was about pirates and the other one about vampires
The vampire one was surely a sad attempt at cashing in during the twilight craze.
Bobo was another one of the early/mid 90's constant radio play acts...but contrary to AoB, i can't remember a single tune.
...wait, something about a party that's going on. Wasn't that him?
Oh, and sorry i got nothing to add about roxette.

Possibly. But well, he was correct wasn't he? Early 90's pop music seemed like a fun silly party. Can't blame the guy for wanting to be part of it
Random tangent: I relistened to blümchen a while back and was surprised how close the sound got to happy hardcore in some spots.

Lol, at least DJ Bobo had success and is a nice guy. You guys didn't even get their lyrics. How clever!

Jasmin Wagner in the 90ies had some charm...but she's pretty serious now, isn't she?nasenmann wrote:I relistened to blümchen a while back and was surprised how close the sound got to happy hardcore in some spots.

I'm just listening to a Roxette song, "Dressed for Success" - that's a pretty nice song!

I have a few Roxette albums on cassette. Don't have any Bobo albums, but I'm going to drop out of high school to find them!!

Abba, Roxette, Ace of Base...
They make/made music as if they were building Volvos: focus on meeting consumers' taste, and a great engineering behind.

I'd say this is pretty awesome musicianship:
