to me it sounds like a broke ass plugin format that started off with a bang, (although not for resale growing hate from reason users) improved further gaining interest, acceptance, and sales, and started to fall apart, losing most developers respect, and creating a huge financial hole that left the company in financial misery, leading to the extremely lackluster v8 in which said company probably will never recover. which would explain why said company is such a joke now, that the most newest rack extension, needs more cowbell.

its amazing how damaging one bad decision can be on a company ernst doesn't have my sympathy whatsoever though. he chose profit over customer happiness. in making re non transferable, he alienated, his loyal users, in controlling them he alienated his developers. its a loss/loss. he has nobody but himself to blame. many loyal reason users myself included are angry as hell the way propellerhead started to force users to buy all there propellerhead branded synths and fx as an extra non included cost, his company can rot i hate the way they treated me and others. re was the worst decision ernst ever made. to add even more insult to injury, re directly compete again't reason refills and have now wiped out most of the refill market also. *cough* kodak

Being a Reason 8 user, I love it the way it is.
I don't feel cheated by Props for making REs a closed system since I'll use it rewired for as long as I can.
I own a few REs and wouldn't want to sell them anyway.
Seriously, I understand some users might be unhappy but why so much hate?
