Depeche Mode "Enjoy The Silence" the choir is a KORG M1 preset.

Depeche Mode "The World In My Eyes" bass sound comes from an ARP 2600 + Minimoog /(to add some bottom)

Depeche Mode "Never Let Me Down Again" (Aggro mix and extended mix) The sequnzed bass is generated by an EMS VCS 3.

Madonna "Like A Virgin". Prophet 5.

David Bowie's "Low" and "Heroes" albums. EMS AKS. (It belonged to Brian Eno. Several years later it was bought by a friend of Bowie who gave it to him on his birthday.)

Ultravox "Vienna". Elka String Machine, ARP 2600 , Minimoog. But also quite a few "conventional" instruments.

I would recommend that you take a look at Sound On Sound's "classic tracsks" series. There you'll find a lot of tech info from producers and engineers of many famous classic tracks.

Chicane - Far From The Maddening Crowds  : Nick abused his Roland SH-101.

So, like I had iTunes on no-repeat random play for a while and just a few minutes ago this tune plays and it was so synthesizery.

I looked at the title and it indicates "Georgio Moroder - Chase". Too lazy to Google what synths were used on that. It's probably going to be a hard search.

Didn't Trans-X make heavy use of the Sh-101 on Living on Video? At least there are a lot of monophonic lines that could easily be made with the sh101 and it appears in their video and on the front cover of the original single.

By '85 he had moved on to a setup of just about only Casio CZ-101's

Erasure's first outing must be one of the thinnest sounding albums of all time :D :(

Erasure's first LP "Wondelrand" doesn't sound Casio at all. IMO it's the most Roland-ish souidning album of the 80's.

The first Synergy/Larry Fast albums (Electric Realization for a Rock Orchestra, Sequencer) made extensive use of Moog modular and Minimoog with some custom made synths and Mellotron thrown in.
The Cords album was made mostly with Polymoog of which Fast helped to develop and test.
The last Synergy/Larry Fast album Metropolitan Suite used a lot of DX7.

All of the Synergy albums of course belong among the most innovative synth albums ever made and are an essential listening. But as Fast made also use of self-built custom synths and some experimental non-commercial digital synth technology it's often hard to tell which synths he used for particular sounds. He was also a master programmer and sound manipulator who never used presets so it muddies the water even more.
