No wonder concrete is so overlooked. I really thought it will feel cold and "prison-like" until I saw the website about benefits to concrete floors and looked at the designs, so yeah, concrete isn't in my mind when I started my thread.

No wonder why people in here over-react when they thought my thread is considered spam, thinking I'm advertising an IKEA kitchen, yet I was looking for alternatives to hardwood floor when it comes to aesthetics.

For studios, generally acoustics as well as aesthetics are major considerations. You want to avoid surfaces that add colorations to the sound. Those are added through effects processors. You attempt to achieve sonic neutrality in the room itself.
