HQ Vibraphone-Any Ideas?

Hey guys. I'm looking for a high-quality Vibraphone sample set. I own Kontakt 1 + 2, but it doesn't look like there's a Vibraphone included. I'm hoping that there is something downloadable (paid or free) for use in Kontakt, it just has to sound good and authentic. I kind of like the character of the one in Reason, for an indication, but just isn't HQ enough to pass muster.
Anybody know of a good Vibe set? Thanks.

Not sure how good they are, but they're free and I believe Kontakt can load .exs format:bduffy wrote:Hey guys. I'm looking for a high-quality Vibraphone sample set. There's also a free vibraphone in VST (sample-based, I believe) at plugindex.de:

You may need to register at the site to get to this page.
Cheers.

I finally settled on getting Garritan Jazz and Big Band, mainly because the vibes includes come with both hard and soft mallets (I wanted soft malleted and no one else seemed to have one sampled that way...)
Works great, and I can use the rest of the instruments with my WX-5 windsynth. Overall it's a good collection and worth the money.

Thanks for the tip. I only have one song that I'm experimenting with having a vibe part in, it may not work, but it seems to in my head and initial testing. I don't think I want to throw down $300 for a whole set like this, I'm kind of hoping that one of the smaller companies is offering a downloadable set. But I'll keep this in mind if I need Jazz/Big Band.timobrien wrote:I finally settled on getting Garritan Jazz and Big Band, mainly because the vibes includes come with both hard and soft mallets (I wanted soft malleted and no one else seemed to have one sampled that way...)

Actually, this could have saved my ass a few years ago when we needed a swing piece for work. That was living hell trying to do something decent with only soundfonts...but that was awhile ago, pre-affordable HQ collection days.

It's not free and it's not downloadable, but I'm very happy with Cool Vibes

Awesome! And the award goes to griels for suggesting exactly what I was looking for!griels wrote:It's not free and it's not downloadable, but I'm very happy with Cool Vibes
I wasn't necessarily looking for free, just best-quality possible. I knew there was a downloadable one out there somewhere! Checking out demos now - you vouch for this?
SWTrex: that SynthEdit one sounded promising, but any idea how an auslander can download it? The download link just (slowly) takes me to one of those pay-to-play screens, then, nothing I can make sense of.

I just checked esoundz, if you have Sampletank then this is only $0.99 each - probably not the quality you want though.

They come from Sonic Synth and the spec says it's ST2 format.bduffy wrote:Cheap! Is that for S1 or S2?
I got Sonic Synth 1 in the group buy a couple of years ago, and my copies are in ST1 format. These may be too, but I can't guarantee it - ask Squids.

I shall. I have ST1, barely touch it anymore, but for $0.99 - where's the risk!dougsyo wrote:They come from Sonic Synth and the spec says it's ST2 format.bduffy wrote:Cheap! Is that for S1 or S2?

I have no idea - I'm sure the download process was much easier when I got it a little over a year ago. Anybody know German that can shed any light on this site or tell us how to download from it? (Even logging in with my id and pw didn't allow me to download anything...)bduffy wrote: SWTrex: that SynthEdit one sounded promising, but any idea how an auslander can download it? Sorry, bduffy...
