Our newest Kontakt instrument is here! CELESTIA: Heavenly Sound Design is a collection of incredible custom-produced sound sources, ranging from acoustic to vocal to synthesized, wrapped in a gorgeous and inspiring UI with a powerful synth engine. As the name suggests, the library focuses on beautiful sounds: atmospheric textures, heavenly strings, galactic pads, angelic plucks, ephemeral ambiances, etc. The engine is our most advanced yet, providing incredible customization. Create totally new sounds in just a couple clicks with multiple internal preset menus and a randomizer function, or sculpt tones from scratch using a vast selection of controls and FX.

If you enjoyed our Juggernaut instrument, Celestia is an excellent compliment. Where Juggernaut is all about cutting-edge, modern and dark cinematic sounds, Celestia represents the lighter and more ethereal end of the spectrum (though it's quite capable of modern sounds as well!)

Check out the UI below!

As with our entire catalog, we think film, game, and TV composers will find CELESTIA exceptionally useful and inspiring. Whether you are working on subtle underscore, sweeping themes, sci-fi, uplifting commercials, electronica, or anything in between, this is an incredibly versatile library with immense tweakability. That being said, we also think it will be very useful for producers and musicians in many genres: chillout / downtempo, EDM, ambient/New Age, space music, jazz fusion, etc. Though price is not announced yet, what we can say is that it will be highly accessible!

Sounds really really interesting. Only thing is the GUI seems a bit strange to my eyes.
Looking forward to it :)
Give me samples. More samples!

Yes. You would just open up the group editor, remove the samples from an existing group, and put in your own. There are no RRs or other fancy/complicated things to worry about. Since this only affects the one NKI you're using, you don't need to worry about it messing up other presets.

We opted for a 'flat' style, similar to the design idea of Windows 'Metro', the new iOS, Android, etc. If you want to read up on how the UI works, check out the manual here... we'll also be making a walkthrough video shortly!

Just wanted to say that I picked up Celestia yesterday and can definitely recommend it. It's a bargain for the price because you get a LOT of sampled material, lots of variety, lots of presets, plenty of tweakability, and a pretty advanced but intuitive interface. The cool thing about the samples is that they're unlocked so you can use them in other Kontakt instruments.

You could spend years coming up with new stuff just using the included sounds, but of course I immediately started wishing I could use my own favorite samples in there. I can see that you can simply replace the samples in a given group with your own samples and save the .nki. That's fine, but what I'd really like to do is replace some of the included sounds and then edit the dropdown lists of sounds in the layer menus so they show the names of the new sounds. Even better, I'd like to just add new sampled material in addition to what's there and then add the new sounds to the dropdown lists. Am I just dreaming, or might that be possible? I have a feeling that in order to change those dropdown lists, you have to have access to stuff contained in the .nkr file, which is locked. If it were just a matter of learning to do some new things in Kontakt, then I'd be willing to give it a try. It's such a terrific interface that I want to get my own sounds in there somehow.

Anyway, even if that's not possible, it's still a very good deal, sounds great, and is capable of some serious feats of sound design.

This truly is a basket of golden nuggets. One other suggestion for improvement might be that the various preset buttons (ie. fx presets) take the user directly to the intended fx presets folder inside the Data folder instead of just to the Data folder. That might be a more direct approach and simpler for the user. Once again, thank you. I really like this soundware.
