Unsupported Plugin OS preference

I'm curious which format to try when looking for unsupported plugins. I understand that Receptor is a Linux device but I know that Windows plugins work. On this KVR site there are both options. Which would be a better fit, realizing that unsupported files may not work at all.
I thought about scrolling through the 26 pages of the above string but chose being lazy instead.
