I'm trying to run a synth on an Aux channel to save CPU in Logic 9.1.8
On a track input slot, I have a BC Patchwork Synth with Fabfilter synth #1 in a PRE slot.
On an Aux channel insert, I have a BC PatchWork with Fabfilter synth #2. Synth #2 is setup with a different sound.
For each route I selected All Channels. MIDI routing is as such:
Host -> Synth #1 slot -> MIDI Port A
MIDI Port A -> Synth #2 slot
Everything is on.
Synth #1 works, Synth #2 makes no sound.
I tried with channel 1 all the way. What am I missing?

The virtual ports are not shared among instances of the plug-in, so you cannot perform any kind of "tunneling" inside the DAW (which would actually defeat your purpose anyway because of causality & synchronization).
