Sorry.

Norton has a reputation based system (among other thing) in which it checks if the file is "OK" with the users. maybe put it in a zip and/or contact symantec in order to make this file available to Norton users.

Thanks !
I've just read up on this and it has nothing to do with whether or not the file is ok with Norton users. It is based on Symantec observing from data it collects from users on how often a particular file has been downloaded and not specific user feedback. The file doesn't get deleted either. It gets moved to a quarantine folder from which you can move the file wherever you want. I can personally assure you that there is nothing suspicious about this file.

Dean Aka Nekro wrote:Thanks Mark, Really like this as having such industrial strength squeling feedbacking distortion ITB/a plug-in is great. I have not tried it subtle yet but at extremes its alot of good fun/useful

All the best

That's great to hear Dean. I also use the less subtle side of it :D

Please send me links if you post any music that uses this!

Will do that for sure and again thank you.

Re - Norton, Hell for any user with synthmaker & synthedit stuff (Which is fine). I got it free with this laptop and I do not use any AV thing on my dedicated audio machine. It lasted about a week before I could not take it anymore and got rid. It was torture as i never intended to use this for audio but it turns out not bad for trying things and even ligh work/getting ideas down, So obviously I install some basics audio wise and was downloading others to try: It removed all of the files created with/finished with synthedit and synthmaker. Peoples MMV on that one but as said it was hell  NEVER again

There have been quite a lot more downloads of this than even I expected. It would be nice to get some feedback about it. Not necessarily "this is great". I'm more interested in which parts you like best/least.

For instance, I don't use the offset much and I'm thinking of replacing it with a different waveshaper that I'm working on and/or a ring modulator (that ring modulates the dry signal with the wet signal). I'm also thinking of sticking a LFO on the feedback delay section.

I'm also willing to consider other additions if anyone suggests them.

Forget this "reputation" nonsense in new antivir programs - I switched it off in Avast already. It will come up with a warning on any file that have not been recognized on at least thousands of other computers or if some dumbheads in the cloud marked it as "dangerous".....

Oh somewhere in between. :P
I had another quick bang around with it and its really nice on the more subtle saturation too. I think it has more flavor there than in the brutal end actually.
My only minor gripes would be not so steep a curve on the LP/HP and maybe more subtle fade in/stepping on the Fold knob, but those are imo, and pretty minor. This will def have a spot in the toolbox.

And heres a screenie for to appease Krim. :P
Hope you dont mind.
Its not a bad gui, give the folks a show!

Thank you for your input. I hardly ever use the full range of fold so yes, I could reduce the range and increase the resolution. I'll have a play with the filters too. I think they're 48dB atm.

Thanks for releasing this plugin! I was looking for a free VST with foldback distortion, and this nicely fits the bill; but it has lots of other fun things to play with too!

For my purposes right now, I'd actually appreciate a somewhat higher fold range than a reduced one; but I'm kind of making some specialty distortion-heavy stuff right now.

How much trouble would it be to add a little button or switch that added extra fold or doubled the amount being applied, or something? That way you could reduce the range, but still have the more extreme settings available.

Cool plug, anyway. :)

Uploaded this to facebook on both my accounts so others can see your work :)

I have yet to try this out.

Would it be ok to make a video on youtube of this in action for ya?

Peace brotha

Thanks for the plugin
