Hello cyphersuit,

Absolutely!

We are working on a way for people to send in their "user presets" so that they can be added to the existing "factory presets" or stored on the site so everyone can benefit from the collective "tips and tricks".

As we have said all along, user input is at the very heart of the design of these plug-ins.

All your feedback is most welcome.

Best Regards,

Nick

anyone else having a problem where the echo is predominant on the left in ping pong mode?

Post

Nope. Have you tried it in an otherwise empty project?
Finally!

yep. BTW, this is with live 9/win7/x64 if that matters. And THANKS for checking, maybe something is wrong with me, but I've tried it on a buss too.

Hello hibidy,

Yes, the left channel in ping pong mode is louder as the "delay repeats" start on the left, then the next repeat is on the right but from 4 to 6db lower and so on. So this does give the impression that the left is slightly louder overall.

I personally find like you that this is just just a little too much difference and I have asked the developers to see if the difference in levels can be reduced. It will make the "ping pong" effect a little less "stereo" as there will be less difference between the two sides as levels plays a part in the effect.

Kind Regards,

simplicity is a great thing and im all for single page interfaces in fact, if i can, i only buy one page simple synths or fx and nothing with a mod matrix unless its very self explanatory. but, a developer must ask themselves, is this too simple? charlatan comes to mind. it just to simple to be useful. the fx in this package are pretty much one trick ponies sure, they could be useful but if your going to use an fx, wouldn't you want it to be somewhat flexible?

thats why i didn't jump on this. that, and because tbh, nobody really knows who makes these plugins. i think the company is trying to use a dont ask/dont tell sales method. meaning, they want you think think the plugs are made by nomad, and go through every effort in the world to give people the impression they are made by nomad but i don't believe they are.

au contraire: they have already numourous times announced that they are not by Nomad

Even if they did want you to believe they were made by Nomad but in fact was made by someone else unknown, would it matter? Is it the name of the developer that makes it's value? We're not talking about clothes here! :hihi: (not that it matters with clothes imho ... but most people seem to do)

You could turn it around and have the developer ask him/herself if "is this too complex?". I recently bought Bloom which is very complex and now when i reach for a delay, i reach for the P&M delay. Same with reverb and most other things.

well yes, bloom is definitely too complex my taste as is more feedback machine. i think the p/m delay is simple and it works but a lot of the fx are one trick ponies. stuff like bloom and mfm is just too complex for the simple use of what a delay at its most basic (echo) does. but a lot of the fx are like more detailed versions of one knob louder. a bit too basic.

oh ok.

If you don't like 'simple' don't go with 'simple.' I personally like 'sounds good.' If I can get 'sounds good' to be 'simple,' then I think I've won the battle.

My personal view is that the P&M package is both of those and more. Do I use them in EVERY situation? No. But I'm knocking out some pretty great guitar sounds with them. And I recently threw a few of their mod plugs on a Padshop choir for a very lush result. And a lead that I was having trouble with ... well, you get the idea.

As for who makes 'em? Who cares? If they sound great, and no one wants to take credit for it, who does that hurt? Although it would be nice to know for the NEXT time that dev puts something together.

Cheers

really ? links/source ? i only recall them refusing to confirm or outright deny if they were coded by anyone from Nomad - which isn't the same thing as saying it's not coded by Nomad staff, ex or current.

but if they've made any statements like you're suggesting please do show me where!

I've read it too but im not nuts enough to go through the group buy thread and find it  I'd say it's three quarters in somewhere

i said i do like simple, actually what i said was, if i can, ill only buy simple one page gui synths/fx with very limited mod matrix's if any at all. but theirs a difference between simple/and so simple that your scratching your head about how to make the sound more complex.
