The thing is, I wouldn't spend the extra $39 to get it. From a financial perspective, if I wanted both Hendrix and Slash, that would definitely be the way to go.
This extra freebie would be the cherry on top for me and I would be set for a while. I am looking for what would be more valuable to me when I make music and I don't want to base my decision on the retail value of the packages Maybe one of the Hendrix ones I don't own yet is awesome.. Maybe Slash has at least a few good things for clean. Any more opinions?

The IK folk added several new/updated models to Hendrix,
to make it the Anniversary version, and say the Marshall
is of similar quality to the ones in Slash. Don't forget that
the bundled preset collections based on famous songs,
can be of value for cover-band artists.
Amp-sim mavens may be able to create the same tone on
multiple sims, but thats far different from nailing a specific song's
tone, out of the box, and then being able to apply such settings later,
to a preferred model/stomp/mic/cab setup.
Cheers

You probably already decided but I went with Hendrix first then got Slash after the next freebie hit. My rationale was based on the pedals rather than the amps. I think the Echo pedal was the one I was gunning for.pheeleep wrote:Good point. Thank you all
I have to say this was definitely the sweetest deal since I got the Orange rig for $40 in the summer sale. Now time to see some deals on items not available in collections! i.e. Fender Princeton.
