Hm of course real components have balls but there are few emulations witch for certain sources sounds much better then hw once tried Charter Oak pultec vs plugins well the Charter Oak sounded like a shit so its not always the case.In this example i absolutely dont like what the Sontec does...

Why is this even an argument? Of course digital plugin won't have the same sound with their hardware counterpart. Plugins are basically the poor man version of the hardware, and i like them. I can never afford those hardware in real life, so i play around with its emulation.

The good thing though is the devs continue to study and develop a better emulation, and some have gotten closer to their hardware sound.

Yep it does but the hw is better at this genre for EDM or Tech House the plugin its more sharper more harshier in a good way witch its part of the style !

Well i will not call it secret at all but i dont completely agree that plugins sounds that bad if u shootout eqs shootout with Nebula would be very interesting then ! I am beta testing a comp witch blew out lot of hardware on its way so give the plugins some time !

The question about hardware and software is not if they sound the same. The question is if you are willing to pay 20.000 pounds (like in that video) for the difference.

And another good question would be why there are so many "pros" that don't mind putting themselves to shame uploading videos to Youtube with an absolutely amateurish sound.

For those who still think that EQ plugin emulations worth some extra money :)
