Loving this one, thank you Cableguys!

Glad you're liking the new version!

You can still get VolumeShaper 3 for free if you invite 5 friends to Splice. And you can upgrade it to version 4 for the normal upgrade price - EUR 15/USD 20 (drop us a mail then to contact@cableguys.de and let us know that you got v3 from Splice).

Of course please do not spam your friends, but if you'd anyway like them to know about Splice, now is a good time - it's the last days to get version 3 with Splice for free.

The presets are installed along with the plugin. You can load/save or sync the presets via the library tab in the plugin.

So, it's a cheaper and dongle-free alternative to Vengeance MB Sidechain?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Haven't used that, but it does sidechain style pumping really well, and a lot more

I like the new multi-banding capabilities in VS4, really useful for certain applications.

I was thinking that it would be great if I could get into stereo operations as well. Is that possible already, and I haven't noticed? I mean different shapes for Left and Right. Mid and Side would be really cool too

I can probably do that with some routing and DAW fiddling but it would be cool if I could just click a button to flip between shaping the stereo sum, L, R, M, S, etc.

Different shapes for Left and Right are not possible with VolumeShaper 4 (albeit a very useful thing for a later version..)

But you can with FilterShaper 3..: Set filters to parallel, pan the first filter hard left, and the second filter hard right.. now do volume or filter modulations to your liking. If you want, you can try its free demo.

hey there,

i am using vs4 in logic pro x, which effectively means that i cannot (without much hassle) use the midi-trigger function... so i had this idea and just wanted to ask you, if this would be a possibility, at least for the au version: is it possible to create a side chain input so that you can route midi into vs4 just like you do with a compressor? i have attached two screenshots to point out what i mean:

what do you think? is there at least a slight chance or is there absolutely no way to achieve this?

cheers,
simon

Instantiate it as a midi-controlled effect in logic in an instrument channel, not as an insert effect.
