Are there any effects out there that can give a random stutter sound like a damaged vinyl?
I have tried Isotope Vinyl combined with Logic Tremolo and side chaining to cut out at random points but it's not quite there?

Do you have an example of what you mean, or describe in more detail?

It's probably not tremolo!
Imagine you was watching an old flickering B&W movie, now put that in sound!
Except maybe with noise instead of crackle Can't really think of any examples.

Needle drops side chained kind of get there, but have been using volume dips instead and delays to try to give it a strobe type effect if that makes sense. Still not as i'd want it tho - thinking trance gate on noise type layer in there, but maybe an effect to do it for me

Maybe this can help you out: http://mdsp.smartelectronix.com/livecut/
Can stutter at random places..then add other fx before or after, record it, rearrange etc

Maybe FL Studio Gross Beat is something in the style you want?
