every problem has at least one solution.if there's no solution, there's no problem at all.

all plugins
as a developer with a focus on emulation,
i used to care for pigs professionally, here
ironwoodpigsanctuary.org
chances are,
neither you nor the audience knows what pigs sound like outside of other foley artists, so any silly nonsense with extra grunts inserted ought to satisfy the performance. i believe there are a few "pig patches" in my free animal voice synthesizer, fauna.
i mean, the range of porcine vocalisation is... equivalent to the breadth of human performance. if we were to target one range of expression, i'd still have to explain how *i* would patch something just to emulate that one sound, so a waste of time. if eg. we synthesized the sound pigs make when worried, most people would think it was two stones grating against each other.
in fact, i would say the mechanisms are so similar to each other, your best process, for accuracy, would most likely be to let the actors do typical deep, striated voices for pigs. if only people would listen with suspension of scientific dogma, they'd realise, pigs, and all creatures, are talking already.

You don't mention if the (human) audience should understand what you are saying? Or the other pigs? Neither?plexus wrote:...or maybe a reaktor ensemble. i need this for a theatre play, and it should work in real time.

A sampler triggered by envelope follower. Not sure how to get the latter though, probably would need some hardware solution

IMO the only relatively convincing plug is "Pigshatter",if you're looking for some screamy ugliness don't know if there is anything comparable though.
