I'm endlessly trying to figure out my listening situation, and some more feedback would be appreciated.

You mentioned there were some things you don't like.

-Low end is the devil in my basement box. Was it a low end issue? Too much, too little? Too raw? Unrefined?
-Mids, I'm guessing it was way too much 700-2000 or so? I almost felt powerless to stop the buildup. All part of the process I guess.
-I know I spent too much time processing the strings, but I'm curious how you perceived them compared to the brighter mixes.
-am I asking the wrong questions? Did it just sound shitty to you in comparison?

@Compyfox -- I truly appreciated your mix notes and documentation, it motivated me to take a closer look at what I'm doing and how I'm allocating my time. Also, writing down each step of a mix has already been extremely informative.
